Smallville!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight is the night, in case you don't know what I am talking about let me fill you in.
Tonight is the season premier of one of my favorite shows. Any one who was or is a Superman fan this is the show you should be watching. I love Superman, and Smallville is the story of Kent Clark before he became Superman. The show has a great cast of characters including
John Schneider (Jonathan Kent) & Annette O'Toole (Martha Kent) I have been watching the show since it aired 4 seasons ago. I am usually not one to get addicted to shows
(not since 90210), but this show is awesome. To all who are not Smallville fans, you don't know what you are missing!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who don't know this is Tom Welling
(Clark Kent, aka Superman)

Beautiful day!

Today has been one of those days when you open the windows & let in the fresh air! I love the outdoors. (except during winter) In the summer I am a waterbug, always in the pool! In the fall I love to open all the windows & sit out on the porch, & in the spring I love to go outside to see & smell all the flowers, tress, & grass coming back to life. The transformation from season to season really shows God's power, I am in AWE of it every year!!!

Dentist

I went to the dentist today to have my teeth cleaned(yee haw, not) I like the after feeling of how clean my teeth feel, but the sound of them scraping at your teeth to get them clean is not pleasant!! I have always wondered why dentists tell you "Never poke at your teeth or dig in your teeth with anything sharp," but the first thing they do is pick up a metal tooth pick & start digging in your teeth. Hello!?! does this make any sense??? Ok I am done ranting, the dentists said my teeth looked really good except I have to have a filling replaced because it is falling out, yikes!!!!! Anyway hope everyone else had a good day, blog ya later!!!

What was she thinking?!?!?!?!?!

Can you say STUPID!!!!!!

FlightPlan (the movie)

Ok, so I am back from seeing the movie! I liked it, now it wasn't fantastic, but it did have edge of your seat moments, action, drama, & mystery. It will have you wondering who done it for at least half the movie, and for some people all of the movie. There was no nudity, & little to no bad language. I would recommend this movie as a good watch!!!!!!!

I DID IT!!!!!!!

Well, guys I DID IT!!!! I got the new hair cut & color I love it! Here is a small preview, but you will have to wait to see it all; in person!

New Hair!!!

Today is the day. I will be going to my stylist & getting my hair fixed. I sacrifice my hair for my swimming pool every summer, I cant help it I love the water, but the chemicals & the sun reek havoc on my hair. Anyway I have finally decided on a new style & I am going back to my natural hair color (reddish brown) I am so over the streaked looked, I am tiered of keeping it up.

So the hair style I have picked is not a drastic change, but it is something that I haven't done before, I will be loosing my security blanket which are my bangs, I have had my bangs across my forehead all of my life, I have never been brave enough to change them, well today is the day!!!!!!! In this style my bangs will be swept over to the side AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Ok now that I got that out, I am ready to do it this time, I have made up my mind, it is time for a change, I am trying to lose weight, so I am going to change this too!!! (Pray for Me)

I need to love myself more, Ryan is always getting onto me for putting myself down, he will tell me I look nice & I will say "yeah & fat"! I want to like myself so this is the beginning, I have a pretty strong will power (with Gods help) I know if I was able to stop smoking, that I will be able to do this, I have too.

When I get back from my hair appointment I will share the experience & my hair style.
Wish me luck!

Spanking's

Miriam has been testing Ryan & I a lot lately, we have been having to spank her about once a day & sometimes several times a day. This as all parents know is a very hard thing to do, it really hurts my feelings to have to spank her.

Anyhow I believe in spanking your children, the Bible plainly tells us if we "spare the rod, we spoil the child".
I believe God spiritually spanks us when we slip up, It helps to shape us and I believe it teaches our children right from wrong.

Anyway just felt like sharing my thoughts, blog you guys later.

But at your feet Jesus I remember Your grace Your wonderful love and compassionate face.
You healed the blind with a touch of your hand,
and commanded the cripple on strong feet to stand.
So God of all comfort I come now to plea,
that your grace and your love will find comfort with me.

The Best Looking Cowboy Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toni & Leslie, I have you both beat, he is truly the best looking cowboy ever!!!!!!

Very Important for all Women!!!!!!!!!!

Mastectomy Bill in Congress - Breast Cancer Hospitalization Bill - Important legislation for all women.
It takes 2 seconds to do this and is very important...please take the time and do it!Please send this to everyone in your address book. If there was ever a time when our voices and choices should be heard, this is one of those times. If you are receiving this it's because I think you will take the 30 seconds to go and vote on this issue and send it on to others you know who will do the same. There's a bill called the Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act which will require insurance companies to cover a minimum 48-hour hospital stay for patients undergoing a mastectomy. It's about eliminating the "drive-through mastectomy" where women are forced to go home hours after surgery against the wishes of their doctor, still groggy from anesthesia and sometimes with drainage tubes still attached.Lifetime Television has put this bill on their web page with a petition drive to show your support. Last year over half the House signed on. PLEASE!! Sign the petition by clicking on the web site below. You need not give more than your name and zip code number.
http://www.lifetimetv.com/health/breast_mastectomy_pledge.html
This takes about 2 seconds. PLEASE PASS THIS ON to your friends and family. THANKS

The Doodle Bug (Miriam)

Hey guys keep Miriam in your prayers, she has had cough & a fever today, I just hate it when little ones are sick. God Bless!

New car......

PT Cusier & the HHR

Ryan & I will be purchasing a new car probably within the next year, my little car has been a good car it just hit over 100,000 miles last month. My car probably would last a few more years(maybe), but it was in its first crash last year which totaled it (only to the insurance, I still drive it) It only has a dent in the rear diver side bumper, but the insurance said that my car was old & had to many miles on it for it to be worth fixing so they totaled it. Anyway, the regular maintanece that my car would need from here on out is just not worth putting in to a totaled car.
You can only sell a car with a salvaged title for 1000.00 dollars or less, & a salvage yard will only give you about 200.00 for it, so I have decided that I will donate it, someone else who really needs it can get good use out of it & I can still get some money out of it with my tax break.
So I have been wanting a PT Crusier since the day they came out, I have recently discovered a new car by the same maker as the crusier called the HHR. Now as much as I would like to have the HHR, it is a SUV which means it is a gas hog...... So I will stick with my first choice the PT Cruiser.

Our adoption journey!

Our adoption journey began about 2 ½ yrs ago.
We had been trying to have children for 6 yrs, we had no luck getting pregnant & the one time that we did I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks.
After that I began to do some soul searching & began to pray & ask God what he had planned for my life. Well, as you may have guessed adopting was his plan.

A co-worker of my husbands just happened to mention one night at work that her daughter had just adopted a baby from Guatemala & she had gone through an agency in Murfreesboro called Heaven Sent Children. This peaked my interest because I had already been researching agencies & adoption on the Internet, so I called Heaven Sent & had them send me their info to get us started.

When we made our decision on what country we wanted to adopt from we began our home study & the very long paper work process, be prepared this process seems to take forever. We started in September of 2003.
The following May 2004 we saw pictures of our now little girl Miriam she was six months old, but the pictures were of her at three months old. By July we got to see her up to date photos she was eight months old, I feel in love with her instantly.
By the end of July we were signing the paper work that would make her our daughter. That was very exciting!!!

Then we ran into some roadblocks. See adoption is not real high on the government’s priority list, so when they get your paper work it just kind of sits there. We actually had to get out Congressman involved to get things moving along again.

We finally got our travel clearance in May 2005; we left for India on May 4th.
No sugar coating it; the flight was awful!!! It was a 24 hr flight with 4 plane changes one eight hr layover in an Indian airport with no air conditioning, nothing to drink & no where to go to the restroom. When we finally arrived in India the car that was suppose to be waiting for us at the airport to take us to our hotel was not there. So we hired a cab to take us to our hotel, when we got to the hotel they did not have our reservations had no idea who we were. Anyhow to make a very long story short after we panicked & had a breakdown we got back in the cab went to the orphanage & got everything straightened out.

Then we finally were taken to see our little girl in person for the first time, we spent about three hrs with her the first day, and even though we were very tiered & jetlagged & Miriam had no idea who we were it was the most exciting day of our lives.
We spent 7 days in India before we returned home on May 13th. The return flight had even more plane changes & was worse than the flight to India.

Coming home with our little girl was the next best day of our lives, we were finally a family & there are no words to explain that feeling.
Since we have been home Miriam has blossomed from a shy scared baby to a very curious, & extremely happy little girl. See smiles at everyone & everywhere we go people tell her how pretty & beautiful she is.
God has truly blessed us with an Angel.
Even though the process was long, hard & extremely trying at times I do not regret it. I would recommend adoption to anyone interested and to anyone who can’t have children, it is truly a blessing.

“To conceive a child is an act of nature,
To adopt a child is an act of God,
To raise a child is an act of Love”.

Well, here I am trying to figure out how to write a short bio about Our adoption experience. I received a letter in the mail from a place called "A child waits foundation" (wonderful organization) & they want me to tell them about our experience. The before, the trip, and the after/now. This sounds like a simple request I know, but the more I think about it the harder it is becoming for me to write. Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Maybe I will try out my story on you guys first & you can give me some feed back on what you think before I send it in for hundreds of possible adpotees to read. Ok be watching for it I will do my best to get it posted before the end of the day.

Prayer

Sorry guys, I haven't felt up to blogging in a couple of days. I haven't felt well.
I have been having some issues with my head swelling & having some pretty rough side effects to go along with it. I went to the doctor a few weeks ago & they gave me some medicine, I thought I was getting better, but it is back so I guess I will be returning to the doctor. Any how just wanted to let you guys know & ask you to keep me in your prayers, God bless.

GAS!!!!!

I just have to say that the gas prices are ridiculous, I mean come on how do they expect the people who are not rich to continue to pay over $3.00 a gallon and continue to work & pay their bills????? I read a press release today that the government was getting ready to release 60million barrels of gas from reserves, and that they were gonna sell it to the highest bidder.

Well is this not going to make the gas prices even higher? I mean duh, when the highest bidder sells this gas they are going to "stick it" to the consumer (us). How are we suppose to live this way?

I know they are saying that this is Katrinas fault and I am sure that it is partly to blame, but come on people gas has been going up all year. We were warned before Katrina that gas prices were gonna stay on the rise, we need to ask ourselves are we really going to take this?

I know I personally can not afford to put $25.00 in my tank (and that's for a small sedan) that I use to be able to fill up at $10.00 to $12.00. If gas prices are going up than are our jobs going to give us cost of living raises? I mean hello!!!!! That is only fair, they need us to come into work to make their business run & make money, without us what will happen?

Parents jealousy!

My mom\grandmother(yes, they are the same person) is SO jealous when it comes to me visiting my Papaw, they have been divorced since I was 2 yrs old, but still she just cant stand it when I go down for a visit. I decided to put her to the test this week just to prove my theory on Parent jealousy. Any how I told her about a week ago that I was planning the trip, and then I just waited because I knew that she would try to find a way to talk me or guilt trip me out of going.

Guess what? My theory was right, Her first attempt to stop me was to guilt trip my by telling me that my granny was upset that I was going to miss the reunion next weekend. Well, I asked her why she thought I would miss it & she said "I didn't figure you would want to travel two weekends in a row". Now mind you that my Papaw & my Granny's is only 2 hrs away, but she was afraid I wouldn't want to "travel"! HA!!!!
Ok so that didn't work, so today she tried a different approach. This time it was I don't need to go all the way down there with gas stations running out of gas; what if I get stuck?
I tell her I have already filled up & it only takes one tank of gas round trip.

(she knows this because she goes dwn there at least twice a month to see my Granny) So then she says well what if you get stuck in traffic? This scenario is extremely unlikely possible, but unlikely I mean how many people are really going to Waynesboro this weekend; anyone????
Any how, instead of arguing with her I just tell her I will stop at the first station I see that still has gas and refuel no matter how low or un-low my gas is, and if all else fails & I happen to get stuck well them Ryan will just have to send in the Calvary!!! Heaven forbid I actually go & spend more than a weekend the world may come to a halt.... Needless to say I am still leaving tomorrow as planned, we will have to wait & see what she will say tomorrow.

Does anyone else out there have this problem with their parents? I would really like to know that I was not the only person raised by complete crazy's.....

Big Sky Country!!

I have always wanted to visist and maybe even some day live in Montana. I have never been there, and have never known anyone who has lived or even vacationed there, but for some reason it just seems to call to me.
That may sound strange, I don't know what it is about Montana, it is so beautiful & I love nature & the out doors, I also love horses which is also big in Montana. I am especially fond of Mountains, rivers & valleys which as you can see Montana has plently. Anyhow I guess this is one of those things you call a dream, maybe one day I will live there, I definitely plan to visit some day.
